Lesson 7: Terra or Princess Crown

Now we are going to change it up a little bit from the standard basic balloons everybody learns and start creating some of my personal designs.

The Terra is a quite simple design and uses ear twists to create it. The terra is not a new design but the way I put it together is. I will show you two ways create the terra and both are just as quick to create. The first will be solid colors per terra area and the second we will mix the colors to make the terra more colorful.

So let me run over the 2 styles quickly and then I will give a full detailed instruction of how to create one after.

Inflate 2 260 balloons to ¾ of the length of our balloon or a 7-10 finger nipple. Now squeeze the balloons to make them soft.

Style 1: first balloon, nozzle end, hand size bubble, ear twist, 2 hand bubble, ear twist, hand size bubble, ear twist, (This bubble changes per head size but a 3 hand bubble works to fit most kids heads.), Ear twist, Tie nozzle to last ear twist. Second balloon, Nozzle end, tie to ether ear twist next to the 3 hand bubble, 1 hand bubble, ear twist, 1 hand bubble, wrap at next ear twist, 2 hand bubble, ear twist, 2 hand bubble, wrap at next ear twist, 1 hand bubble, ear twist, 1 hand bubble, wrap at next ear twist, Cut off extra balloon and tie off.

Style 2: first balloon, nozzle end, hand bubble, ear twist, 2 hand bubble, ear twist, 2 hand bubble, ear twist, hand bubble, ear twist, leave extra attached till the end. Second bubble, tie nozzle to tail end ear twist, hand bubble, ear twist, hand bubble, wrap at next ear twist, 2 hand bubble, wrap at next ear twist, hand bubble, ear twist, hand bubble, ear twist, now tie nozzle of first balloon to the last ear twist, Now you can make a 2 color back bubble or a solid color back bubble. So we need a 3 hand bubble to finish the terra or 2 hand and ½ bubbles twisted together and tied off. Cut extra free and tie a knot and your done.

Now the full detailed version of Style 1:

Inflate 2 260 balloons to ¾ of the length or a 7-10 finger nipple. Now squeeze the balloons to make them soft. Now starting at the nozzle end of our first balloon, we need to make a hand size bubble. Now create a small bubble and fold the balloon back to the hand size bubble. Holding the twisted areas firmly while pulling out on the small bubble and twisting it to create the ear twist. Next we need a 2 hand size bubble. Now create a small bubble and fold the balloon back to the 2 hand size bubble. Holding the twisted areas firmly while pulling out on the small bubble and twisting it to create the ear twist. Next we need a hand size bubble.
