Feel free to adjust the quantity of spice you use â particularly the Cayenne pepper â according you own taste.
Harissa Butter Popcorn
Serves 8 cups of popped corn
Ingredients:
½ cup corn kernels
50g/2oz butter
1 tsp harissa paste
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp runny honey
Method:
Pop the corn kernels in your popcorn maker as per the manufacturer's recommended measurements & instructions. Half a cup of corn kernels makes approx. 8 cups of popped corn.
When itâs ready place the popped corn in a large glass bowl.
Melt the butter gently in a small pan. Stir in the harissa paste, sesame oil and honey until the mixture thickens.
Pour the harissa butter over your popcorn and fold in to coat thoroughly.
Serve and enjoy!
