SPIN AND ENGLISH

When you hit the cue ball precisely in the center, it will slip firstly without any feeling of the spin or rotation at all, creating what is called a Stun Shot, but when the cue ball is hit above the center, the result is called a follow or topspin that means that the cue ball has a spin. But when the cue ball is hit below the center, the result would be called as Draw or bottom spin or backspin. Same is the case when the cue ball is hit left or right side of the center, the result is referred to side

spin and is called English, but this term “English” can also be applied to any type of spin (left spin, right spin, topspin, bottom spin).
