3. Soy is goitrogenic and contains phytoestrogens. Both can inhibit proper thyroid function and slow your metabolism.

4. Soy contains many anti-nutrients, including phytates, which inhibit the absorption of zinc, copper, magnesium, and calcium. Soy contains trypsin inhibitors, which block protein digestion. Soy also contains hemagglutinin, which cause red blood cells to clump together.

5. Avoid all GMO soy products, soymilks, soy cheese, soy meals, soy bars, soy snacks, soy oils, soy flours, and soy lecithin.
