Jeremy sat at the Poolside Cafe and didn't have to wait long for Hannah. Only five minutes after he'd been seated, she arrived.

"You look great" Jeremy hoped his eyes weren't bugging out of his head. Is that what white plumeria against a red background Aloha shirt with little spaghetti straps looked like wrapped around a woman? Deliciously tropical.

"Do you really like it?"

Hannah seemed pleased and did a three-sixty for him that gave him a good look at swirling fabric that tied stylishly at her right hip. "I got it at a dress shop called Sea Breeze, it's across from Island Outfitters."

She sat next to him and slid an envelope, logo side up across the table in his direction. "What do you think about this?"

The Heavenly Hawaiian Honeymoon logo stared up at him and he wondered if this was good news, trouble, or big trouble. Jeremy pulled out a pair of tickets and read them, "Ohana Malihini Luau"

If Hannah wanted his opinion on what to do with the tickets his advice would be to toss them and steer clear of that kind of tourist trap. But Jeremy knew her better than that. He knew that she would love to go.

"They were waiting for me when I got to my room" She looked at him, clearly excited to attend. "Do you want to go?"

"That sounds great!" Had that come from him? Jeremy would never in a million light-years have thought dinner with a bunch of tourists trying to get the Hawaiian experience at a luau as a great time.

But he was smiling and he felt part of him really wanted to do this. The more Jeremy thought about it, the more the idea of going to a luau with Hannah grew on him.

What gives? He couldn't figure out if he was going nuts or suffering an early midlife crisis.

"I'm so excited. I can't wait."

Her enthusiasm was one of the things he loved about her. Jeremy thought she might forget all about lunch and shoot straight to the luau.

"Have you ever been to one?"

"No" Dare he tell her he found the whole idea ridiculous? He used to, that is. But going with Hannah was something else completely, a luau didn't sound half-bad. "What are you supposed to wear, anyway?"

"What else?" Hannah smiled. "An Aloha shirt."
