Queen Replacement

You don’t see any eggs or larvae at your first inspection? Wait a few more days. If the queen still isn’t laying a week after she was released, you have a world of trouble. The situation is serious but not unsolvable. You need a new queen. Contact your supplier to see if they will supply you with a replacement free of charge. There are a number of reasons the queen may be missing, dead, or failing to lay eggs. In any case, your bees need a new one on the double. It will hurt to do it, but pay for the overnight shipping.
