Chapter 15

She gave him one more soft, gentle smile before she kissed his throat, intent on leaving him with as many marks as he’d left her. He didn’t moan for her, didn’t fall apart under her touch. Not yet. But she knew how to play him, after all their nights together. She knew how to judge his reactions from the flex of his hips and the way he swallowed, hard, how he brought his hand to the top of her head to encourage her.

She unfastened the belt that held his kilt in place, and he arched from the mattress as she slid it out from under him and tossed it down onto the chest at the foot of the bed. Then she kissed her way down his chest, focusing on the line of his sternum. She might have teased, if she wanted, but she wanted to watch him writhe for her. Wanted to see the pleasure wreck his expression. She was focused on making her way down to where he most wanted her, returning the favor that he’d given her moments ago. She wanted to give him what he wanted. She wanted to see him break open, gasping her name. So when she got to his hips and the perfect cut of muscle there, she only stroked her fingers over his side before she glanced up at him, smiling, kissing his belly, watching the way his eyes darkened.

“Are you glad I coaxed you into this?” she asked.

He hummed an agreement, bringing a hand to the top of her head and brushing her hair back from her face. Her heart skipped a beat in her chest as he looked at her, tenderly looping the strands behind her ears, bringing her hair to one shoulder so it wasn’t in her way. Kayden showed affection mostly in small ways: in careful, swift caresses, in absentminded comforts, and this was no different. Mya smiled warmly, the affection she felt toward him almost overwhelming, as though it was swelling in her chest until her body could hardly contain it.

“I love you,” she told him, resting her cheek against his hipbone for a moment.

“Mya...” he said, low and soft. “I love you, too.”

He cupped her cheek, and she brought one of her hands off of his hips, resting it over his and turning her head slightly to kiss his palm, her fingers settling into the spaces his fingers left.

She gave one more kiss to his palm before she moved back, just enough to lower herself down, and she let go of her hold on his hand so she could curl her fingers around his length. Mya heard him groan, his hand falling from her cheek and down to her shoulder, stroking over her in encouragement.

Her tongue slipped out to wet her lips. He was so big. She thought of the way he felt inside her, stretching her so perfectly, and had to swallow a moan. Her thighs rubbed together, trying to provide some stimulation; she wanted him inside her again.
