A sample table of contents for a bond indenture and leveraged loan credit agreement are listed below in Table 6.1. Though these documents seek to enforce similar protections, they are structured slightly differently and can be confusing given the amount of industry and legal jargon used. A proper explanation of these provisions could be the subject of its own book and, candidly, is more information than is required for individuals familiarizing themselves with the asset class. What is more important to understand regarding high yield credit agreements is the substance of these provisions and what they allow for and prohibit.
