Chapter 15

Waking up in Jake’s arms, I spread my hand over his chest, feeling the smooth expanse beneath me as I breathe in the woodsy scent of his skin.

“You awake, darlin’?” he whispers.

“Mhmm,” I manage to answer.

“Do you have work?”

“Mhmm.”

“Do you need help getting up?”

“Mhmm.”

His chest starts to shake under me and I muster the strength need to turn my head and look at him.

“Is that all you can say right now?” He smiles.

Nodding my head, he hooks his thumbs under my arms and drags me up his chest to kiss me. A soft sigh escapes my lips and I melt into him, not even caring if my breath isn’t minty fresh.

Rolling us over, Jake presses me into the bed and I can feel him growing against me. Pulling the sheets away, he reaches into the nightstand and pulls out a condom. Quickly sheathing himself, he settles between my legs and enters me in one swift motion.

Scratching at his neck, my head falls back into the pillows, moaning, loving the feeling of Jake inside of me.

We move together like we’ve known each other’s bodies for a lifetime despite just only beginning to learn one another’s rhythm.

Wrapping my legs around his waist, I meet his every stroke, his every breath, and his every moan.

Slick with sweat, our bodies take from each other until the pressure in me builds to a level I can’t contain.

“Jake…I…”

“Let go, baby,” he growls. “Come with me.”

And with one final slam, I scream out his name as we finish together, my body imploding with too many sensations.

Kissing my closed eyelids, Jake slowly pulls out and rolls onto his back. “Waking up with you is definitely something I could get used to.”

“Me too.” I smile, unable to move.

“You snore, you know.”

I suck in a sharp breath. “No I don’t!”

“You do.” He chuckles. “But it’s soft and cute. Like a sleeping baby tiger.”

“A baby tiger?”

“Yeah. Looks all cute and innocent, but will still bite you nonetheless.”

“Is that how you see me?”

“Well, you did bite my neck last night,” he says, and prop myself up on my elbow to look down at the mark I left on his shoulder.

“Oh, I did bite you. Hard.” Running my fingers over the red marks, I smile, loving that he has evidence of me on his body.

“You like that you left your mark, don’t you?”

I nod my head. “It looks good on you,” I whisper, leaning down to kiss it.

Rolling back on top of me, he kisses me hard. “Alright, we have to get up before I take you all over again. You have to get to work soon.”

“I forgot! You keep distracting me with your mouth and body. It’s not fair.”

Smiling, he stands and holds his hand out for me. Walking into the bathroom, he starts the shower and grabs two towels from the closet.

“Jake, we can’t shower together. We’ll just end up being in there too long and I’ll be late.”

“I promise not to touch your sexy body if you promise not to touch mine.
