Lexie had no idea what time she’d eventually fallen asleep but she knew it was late. Even when she had managed to nod off, Elsie’s very vocal enjoyment would wake her up again, so she started the morning feeling more than a little bleary eyed.

Hitting send on a message to Joss, Lexie left her cabin to head down for breakfast. Almost as soon as she stepped out into the corridor she was aware of the door of the next cabin opening. To her amazement Esmée appeared, turned, and then placed a huge kiss on Elsie’s lips.

“Mon lapin, until next time.” Winking, Esmée then turned again and strode down the corridor in her usual over inflated manner.

Lexie stood, slack jawed.

“Morning Lexie! How are you this morning?” Elsie called, pulling her fluffy white robe around her a little tighter. “Come in and let me pop some clothes on, then I’ll come down to breakfast with you.” Elsie turned back into her cabin, leaving her door wide open.

Lexie was a little apprehensive about making her way into what had very audibly been the ship's pleasure dome last night. Apart from a very unmade bed the rest of the cabin seemed remarkably intact and the fact it had a disabled bathroom large enough for her to change in, reduced Lexie’s anxiety substantially.

“I hope we didn’t keep you awake.” Elsie’s voice sounded full of life as she shouted through while changing.

“Eh, well—” Lexie floundered. “I—”

“Oh, we did, didn't we? I’m so sorry. I just tend to let it all hang out when I’m on holidays and it’s so easy to do with Esmée. She knows all the right spots to hit.”

Elsie was giggling when she came back into the room. This was the first time that Lexie had appreciated she wore a wig. Last night’s image of teeth in a glass sprung to mind but she shook that vision from her head. There were only so many surprises a girl could take before breakfast.

“I hadn’t appreciated that you and Esmée had a—a—thing.” Lexie had no idea what she should call it.

“Oh, we don’t darling. Well no more than most women on the ship.” Elsie looked at Lexie’s blank expression and continued in earnest. “Esmée is a gigolette.” A second check showed no greater comprehension than before. “A female gigolo.”

Her exasperation was now beginning to show. “We hire Esmée for sex.”

“OOH!” Lexie’s eyebrows shot over her forehead and settled on the other side of her head, such was her surprise.

“She is worth every damned penny. She just moves from cruise to cruise plying her wares as it were. I book her once a season depending on what cruise it is and normally for at least two nights, but she has been in such demand she could only offer me one night this time.” Elsie looked very satisfied with her purchase, but Lexie was even more confused than before. “What is it dear? Tell Elsie. We don’t have any secrets here.”
