Coverage

Although the government has committed to provide universal health insurance coverage on a uniform basis to all Gabonese, the transition to full universal coverage is ongoing. Significant effort has increased coverage; CNAMGS reports their coverage has reached about 679,000 (June 2013) or 45 percent of the population2 (figure 4.1).
