"Good morning," Scarlet whispered, waking me up.
I was lying next to her on our new and improved bed. As sleep fled from me, I noticed Scarletâs face showed affection as it was gently caressed by the sunrays. She leaned down and whispered into my ear.
âGood morning, stranger," I whispered in turn and turned toward her, kissing her cheek.
Feelings that coursed through me were out of this world. After a long conversation, and coming clean about many things the previous night, weâd come to some arrangement. Part of it was to enjoy each otherâs company and try to behave like a normal couple. It was a world of difference, the behavior from the day before compared to the present morning, it filled me with something I couldnât grasp. My understanding of love and having a partner was nonexistent, but I knew instinctively that this was something that had been missing all of my life.
"I prepared us something to eat and wear. Walking around naked outside of the island would be a bit⦠awkward, right?" she chuckled.
"We should leave that to the exhibitionists. And while we're here walking around , maybe we should tone it down a bit? At least wear some basic underwear, or shorts for me and a skirt for you."
"Hah, youâre so right. And another hah, I already thought about that. Get up, let me show you what I prepared for us."
I took her hand expectantly and got up. We found our way toward the front porch where two sets of clothing were laid out. For me, it was colored shorts, the Hawaiian type with the surfboards and palms, while for Scarlet a colorful skirt and a tank top waited. Both looked like they were from the same setâthe Hawaii set. Too colorful for my taste, but it was far better than being naked or being seen in the rags my armor presented.
"You made them?" I asked curiously. Scarlet nodded and stepped forward, taking the shorts in her hands.
"Please, let me put them on for you," she offered and held the piece of clothing in front of her.
I took her offer and let her help me get dressed. I took the skirt and helped her wriggle into it. The top was a harder fit as her chest was too large for the piece of clothing, and the wings werenât playing along very well, but it adjusted to her form after we got it on somehow. A chime announced a system message.
