Octaves

An octave is an interval starting from one note in the scale sequence, and proceeding to the seventh adjacent note (either up or down) in the scale sequence. In the C major scale, each note is paired with itself. This kind of octave is called perfect.

A perfect octave is an interval defined by twelve half-steps. All of the intervals in this section are perfect octaves.
