What Mint ensured was that its readers would get quality information from its emails, including timely notification of interest rate hikes. Most of Mint’s subscribers started seeing the real value in the emails, and did not dismiss them as trash or leave them unopened. This meant that the dropout rates for Mint’s email were low.
