n its most popular role, the dresser is used in the bedroom as a place to store clothing. A dresser doesn’t have to be a family heirloom to have good bones, but it’s important to choose one that you love the look of, since it isn’t a piece you’re likely to replace, particularly since it can serve so many purposes. There isn’t room in this bedroom for a vanity table, so we created one using the surface of the dresser. All of the necessary pieces—perfumes, makeup, jewelry—fit on top of this hearty piece. Above hangs an utterly romantic white and gold shell-form mirror, which we found partially buried in an antiques emporium.
