As soon as they opened the door, they saw Goldilocks asleep.

The three bears were so surprised that they forgot their anger.

“It’s a little girl,” said daddy bear.

“Surely she’s the one who broke my chair?” replied baby bear.

Goldilocks woke up and was amazed to see the three bears.

“What are you doing in my bed?” asked baby bear.

Goldilocks was so frightened that no sound came out of her mouth.

“Don’t be afraid,” said mummy bear. “We won’t harm you!”

Goldilocks could see that the bears were very kind and she told them what had happened. Baby bear liked this pretty little girl so much he forgave her and they became good friends.
