“Jennifer Allen! Why in the world didn’t you tell me?” Pia waved a San Rimini newspaper as she entered the trailer. “It’s bad enough our Internet is so unreliable as to be useless, but when the scoop of the year is sitting right in front of me, I expect her to tell me about it.”

Jennifer cringed inwardly and set aside the requisition report she’d been preparing for the Refugee Respite Project’s headquarters. In the forty-eight hours since she’d returned to the camp, she’d been trying to get Antony—and the memory of what happened between them—out of her mind. Burying herself in requisitions hadn’t helped. Obviously, hiding out in her office wouldn’t help, either.

Jennifer took the newspaper from Pia, and her jaw nearly hit the dusty trailer floor. There, splashed across the front page, was a large picture of her wrapped in Prince Antony’s arms. His mouth was a breath’s distance from her cheekbone.

From the angle of the photo, there was no doubt this was a more-than-friendly kiss. Even worse, the headline trumpeted:
