It’s too easy to be strong, God, and with strength comes the desire to always be right. Please save me from my need to always be right. Save me from my inability to surrender my will. Most of all, help me overcome my desire to ignore my sin.

Lord, You know I’m very good at blaming others or my situations for my sinful actions and thoughts—and very bad at admitting when I’m wrong. I know salvation is found only in You, and that it only comes when I confess what I’ve done wrong. Help me to say I’m sorry and to ask for Your cleansing and forgiveness. And when I ask You to forgive me, fill me with the knowledge that You love me and have washed me clean. Amen.
