Chapter Twelve

Laurence used the toilet then quickly stripped, grimacing at

the mess. “Rutting like animals,” he chastised himself. Josh wasn’t

the only one who hadn’t done that in a long time. Usually he had

some control. Apparently, just not with Josh. After folding his

clothes, he left them on the sink for Josh, like he asked. In front of

the mirror, he caught his reflection. His neck was red and raw from

Josh’s beard, and right on the top of his shoulder was the hickey.

Who knew being bitten was such a turn on? It had been years since

he allowed anyone to give him one. He touched it, testing the

tenderness. A shiver slid down his spine as memories of how he’d

received it returned. He dropped his hand as if he’d been burned.

He slid the heavy curtain out of the way and started the

water. “Oh yay,” he murmured with a broad grin, taking in the

powerful shower jet. “Come to daddy.” He stepped in and glided

under the spray, shivering in delight.

Finding the soap, he lathered up, immediately picturing Josh

as the scent filled the humid space. He closed his eyes, the flash of

skin and the feel of chest hair zipping through his thoughts. It was

rough and soft at the same time. He loved running his fingers

through it. Laurence sighed, washing and rinsing his bits with light

hands. He was a little sore from the abuse this morning, but it

wouldn’t last long. Josh wasn’t shy about getting what he wanted.

The man was powerful. He moaned, thinking about how that would

feel if they ever had sex. The strong snap of his hips, the ride of—

“Laurence?”

He froze under the water, feeling heat on his cheeks for being

busted in his thoughts. “Josh?” he queried in the same tone.

Josh snorted, the nervousness leaking out of his voice. “Your

things are in the wash and I have your keys. They must’ve fell out

when you were in bed. I know it’ll be big, but I found something for

you.”

The quiet snap of the door told him Josh was gone without

being able to reply, or invite him into the shower. He wondered if

Josh would have been up to it. Staring down, Laurence was more

than up for it.

“Down, slick. We’ve gotten this far. He may still panic.”

Turning his face into the water, he let it flow over him. Taking a few

more minutes, he washed his hair and by the time he was done, his

body had calmed down.

After enjoying the pulsating tattoo of the water jet, he shut it

off. Out of the tub, he dried skin and hair then spotted a toothbrush

on top of a folded blue bundle on the sink. He smiled at the

toothbrush. Josh was just a nice guy, when he wasn’t being a jerk,

he mused. Lifting the fabric, it turned out to be a pair of drawstring

jogging shorts. At least with the string he could get them nearly

snug. He twitched his hips to see how loose they were and laughed.

Jiggle it, baby.

With those on, he brushed his teeth. “Now if I could find a

brush, I’d feel human.” He ran stiff fingers through his hair,

loosening the damp clumps.
