WEEDING THE GARDINER

Mrs. Bennet’s brother, Mr. Gardiner, and his wife are possessed of intelligence, taste, and manners—in notable contrast to their ignorant and flighty sister. Having no children of their own, the Gardiners dote on the Bennet girls, especially Jane and Elizabeth, bringing them to London several times a year to attend dinners and parties and to mingle in society. For the young ladies, the kind and proper conduct of the Gardiners makes them feel as warm and comforted as this cocktail will make you feel.
