Makes 2 liters

3 inches or 8cm of ginger root, peeled and thinly sliced

1 lime, thinly sliced

Top with ice

Top with water

Directions:

Add the lime and ginger to your water pitcher. Muddle gently with a wooden spoon. Top with ice and water. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

This drink will keep for up to 2 days in the refrigerator or until the fruit turns bad. The peel from the lime may turn this drink slightly bitter after being infused for over 24 hours.

You can keep refilling it several times with new water. To retain its original flavor, ensure that the pitcher is still half full of water when refilling.
