the forest was

we were there

the forest is

we are here

you have to finish

before the movie

begins

to come back

to where you

have been

somewhere

there some you

which was is

the poem

is about return

it’s an

about-turn

it’s a trick

you’re a trick

you’re an old hand

you’re a real card

the way the light

falls

and rain

suddenly

or not at

all . . . .

. . . . . .

. . . . . .

along the way

signs

crossing ducks

look out for

logging trucks
