The M.C. Hunter block was built in 1924 for $20,000. In 1926, the old building was torn down and the new one constructed. Here, Ray Rosenkild sketches the new building, which was also torn down and replaced by the Redlands National Bank. Citibank is now on the southeast corner of Arrow and Sierra.

Frank A. Crawford built the Crawford Drug Co. in 1928. His son Harold worked there during the summer while attending Oregon State, and later in the 1930s he took over the business. Bud, as everyone knew him, is remembered also as a member and president of the rotary club and school board. He died in October 1959. His eldest son, Harold Jr., took over the store and was rotary club president as well. Harold Jr. ran the store until he retired, and later sold the business, but it still serves the community as it has for 87 years.
