It’s a flyscreen meltdown!

WHAT YOU NEED

tape measure

aluminium flyscreen frame (available in a range of colours to suit your windows)

corner connectors, four per screen (plus screws to fasten these)

fibreglass screen mesh (the most common, but there are other kinds)

toggle clips (to hold screen in frame)

plastic flyscreen spline (enough to match total window perimeter plus 10 per cent). Flyscreen spline is flexible PVC tubing with little ridges on it.

* Aluminium is soft and easy to cut with just about anything; if you don’t have a hacksaw a fine-toothed wood saw can be used, but spray the blade with WD-40 first.
