"Damon," Erik said from the doorway. "Did you feel anything?" When Damon didn't answer him, Erik kept going. "I swear, it felt like she was reaching into my soul and refusing to let go."

"No," he shook his head. "And I don't want to feel it if it's as painful as that sounds."

"It was the best thing I've ever felt in my life," Cass said from behind Erik. "She's asleep on the couch, by the way. I've never wanted to curl up next to a woman before, but damned if I don't want to hold her and play with her hair while she snores on me."

Erik perked up. "Is she snoring?"

Damon couldn't help the small laugh that escaped while he stared at Erik and Cass acting like children.

"It doesn’t matter if she snores," he said. "She could snore louder than my dad and it wouldn't matter. I didn't need to feel whatever it was that you two felt. Just having her here, in our space. It felt right. Didn't it?"

"Yeah." They all agreed with him, and as he moved the last of his clothes from the master bedroom and into the room next to Erik's, he couldn’t help but think that the apartment fire might be the best thing that had happened to them.

"Will she have clothes to go back to work with tomorrow?" Ben was staring at his phone, no doubt texting his mother.

"Yeah," Ben answered. "Mom's got it under control. Said she has been shopping for women's clothes longer than I'd been alive and to shut up. So," he laughed. "I guess that means she's got it under control."

"Your mom is going to be the death of me," Erik muttered.

"Nah," Damon laughed. "She's probably going to be the only one looking out for all of us by the time all of this is said and done."

"That's true," Erik agreed. "But we need to come up with a plan for Danica. How are we going to do this?"

"It's simple," Ben said without looking up from his phone. "We date her. Obviously, none of us are interested in men. I don't care about sharing, at least not with her. As long as she's happy, I'd do anything to keep her."

"You don't even know her," Damon said. "How do you know you want to keep her."

"Because I saw the lines that connected her to us, you idiot." Ben kept typing on his phone. Damon wanted nothing more than to grab it and smash it into tiny pieces.

He counted to ten in his head before he said anything, hoping that his temper was kept in check. "What are you talking about?"

"In the kitchen. She asked if anyone saw what she had seen. I saw it. The lines, I'm sure not as vividly as she saw them. I saw them, though. My mom was right. I don't have a doubt in my mind that we're all together in this place for a reason."

"Oh," Cass said and Damon saw the moment that realization struck the other man.
