“Are we going in?” Gregory asked.

“Should we call Spider?” Daughtrey wondered, looking over at Broderick.

“No, we’ll just watch and follow if they leave,” Broderick. said.

All three walked across the street and went inside as two men walked out, holding the door open. Broderick glanced around the bar and noticed its dark tables and booths alongside each other. The bar in the corner had pictures on the wall of famous people who frequented the place in the early years. It had been around for over twenty years. Daughtrey went to the bar and ordered a shot of whiskey, staring at Sasha and Maksim from a barstool as they talked together with another man. They were surrounded by security; it would be impossible to get to her without causing a bigger problem for themselves. Broderick grabbed the elbow of one of the waitresses and pulled her to the dark hallway.

“Hey, what are you doing!” she argued, trying to walk around him.

“Shush. If you want to live, you’ll listen to me,” Broderick demanded, pushing her back and lifting her chin. “I need to know who is sitting with Maksim Petrov at the table out there.”

“None of your business!” she spat.

He moved his jacket to the side and showed his gun; her eyes widened in shock.

“I don’t know who the woman is, but the guy is the underboss for the Diablo Kingston Cartel,” she replied.

Broderick was the one shocked this time, finding out that the Kingston Cartel had a hand in the Russian gun ring.

“Can I go now?” she asked.

He nodded and let her leave as he headed back to Daughtrey and Gregory sitting in a huddle.

“Anything for you?” the bartender asked.

“No.”

“What’s wrong with you?” Gregory asked.

Broderick peered at his targets, thinking of a way to capture not only Sasha, but kill Emilio Kingston. If all three of them were working together, he knew it would make getting Teagan out of jail even harder.

“Don’t look over there, but it’s Emilio Kingston, the underboss for the Diablo Kingston Cartel,” Broderick informed them.

Daughtrey motioned for the bartender to refill his glass as he took the news hard.

“Spider needs to know about this,” Gregory said.

“Shit, the president needs to know,” Daughtrey blurted out.

“Let’s get out of here.” Broderick rose from his seat, left money on the counter, and peered at the group as he left.

“What did you find on Ted Ackles?” Broderick questioned Gregory and Daughtrey as they headed back to his car.

“He’s just as corrupt. We found out he’s living in a mansion in the suburbs with a wife and two kids.” Gregory explained.

Broderick eased in the car and shut the door as Gregory and Daughtrey stood next to it.

“Taking bribes,” Daughtrey muttered.

Broderick listened as they went on about Agent Ackles getting extra income to pay for his lifestyle.

“Shit!” Gregory shouted, noticing two men pointing at them and pulling out their guns. He pulled his gun out and returned fire as two men ran.

“Get in!” Broderick started his car, hit reverse, and drove backwards as gunshots flew across the street and hit the side mirror of his car.
