That’s what these lip-smacking, tender and meaty short ribs are. This is as basic a braise as you could ask for, one that requires only a handful of ingredients and two pans. The oven does all the magic here, first at high heat to sear the meat and then much lower to cook it very slowly. You end up with the essence of rich beefy flavor and meat that falls into delectable shreds at the touch of a fork.
