PART THREE
âHey, sleepyhead,â Alex groaned, a hint of a smile in her voice.
âHey, beautiful,â I replied.
We were still tangled in one another. My arm was wrapped around her torso, and her leg wrapped around my hip until I didnât quite know where she began or I ended. For the first time in my life, I was entirely naked in front of another and also entirely at ease.
âI think that might have been the best sleep Iâve had in years.â Alex turned toward me and sat up on her forearm. Her long hair fell gently over her shoulder, covering her exposed skin like a curtain that I wanted to pull open.
âYeah, you must have been tired after last night. You sure sounded like it with your snoring,â I laughed.
Alex feigned a look of shocked horror, âI do not snore!â
âWell, you did last night,â I teased. âBut donât worry, it was actually super cute and very light. I liked it.â
âGood,â she winked, rolling closer to me and placing a kiss gently on my lips. âAre you hungry at all? I can fix us some breakfast.â
âIâm starving, but you might have trouble finding anything to cook. My kitchen is a barren wasteland at the moment.â
âChallenge accepted!â Alex exclaimed.
She threw back the covers and jumped out of bed giving me a perfect view of her perfect body. Opening my dresser drawer, she pulled out a pair of my boxers and a t-shirt which looked better on her than they ever had on me.
I laughed as I watched her, now properly clothed, run to the kitchen and sift through my refrigerator. Alex had always been an amazing cook, but my total lack of food was an almost insurmountable challenge. Last weekâs busy schedule combined with my need for comforting taking out had left my food supply high and dry, but Alex was persevering.
I watched in amazement as, one by one, she pulled together a counter full of ingredients I didnât even know I had. I could almost see her mind working as she pieced together item after item in a masterful feat of culinary skill. It was like watching a reality cooking show, but it was happening in front of me with a beautiful, scantily clad woman. What more could my gay little heart ask for?
Within minutes, the kitchen came alive with the sights and sounds of breakfast. Coffee was brewing, the skillet was sizzling, and Alex was mixing together a concoction in a large bowl.
âWhat are you making?â I asked, my stomach growling in inquisition.
âWouldnât you like to know,â Alex teased.
âYes, actually I would!â
âWell, youâre just going to have to wait and see.â She shot me a smile that made my stomach flip, and I couldnât help but return the look. It had been a hell of a long time since I had felt this happy and free, and I was going to soak up every second of it.
âDo you know what would make this morning even better? Music,â Alex announced.
âI think I can take care of that.
