This line of research continues with the comparison of these sources from the People's Republic of China with those located in Taiwan and Spain. The former come from the evacuation of official documents carried out by the Chiang Kaisek regime in the last days of the Republic of China. They are in the custody of the Academia Sinica in Taipei. The second, the Spanish documents, are distributed between the National Historical Archive and the General Administration Archive. From this joint analysis, we will be able to confirm whether the type of relations between the late Qing and Spain really followed the path that made Spain a “dove” among the European “imperialist hawks” in China.
