Observe people at work who you consider to have strong skills in shifting:

How do they sound? What words do you hear them use to shift their emotions?

How do they appear to you? What do you imagine they actually do to shift themselves?

What aspects of how they are would you like to demonstrate more in yourself?

Use these questions to observe yourself:

Are you aware of emotions at work that are holding you back?

Can you identify choices you are making in your expression of emotions and your behaviours?

Are they leading to your own health and happiness?

Do your work colleagues promote positive thoughts or negative, limiting ones?

Do you believe in your ability to shift your emotional state?

In which situations do you find it most difficult to shift your emotions? (Situations when you are, for example, angry, sad or fearful? Situations with a particular person or group of people?)

When you do not regulate your emotions, what are the adverse consequences of this in your interactions with others?

How does this affect the overall outcomes/results you desire?
