“Is something wrong?” Maggie inquired.

“I’ll tell you in a minute. May I speak to Molly?”

“Molly isn’t here.”

“But she works on Saturdays.”

“Yes, it’s a bit peculiar,” Maggie explained. “It’s not like Molly to miss a day’s work or be late, but she hasn’t arrived.”

The tiny embers of anxiety smoldering in Aislynn’s belly since Mr. Fawcett’s visit burst into flames. “Excuse me, I have to find Sage.”
