That was what he’d said to her the last time she threatened to walk away from him. It was truer now than it had been back then, but somehow, a small smile twisted his lips. His cock jumped. This was the kind of shit he needed to get over. Fallon’s opposition should have vexed him, but instead, it intrigued him, made him horny.

Made him fucking miss her.

Focus, cabrón!

The logical next move was to summon Dread, something was up. He wasn’t keeping it one hundred and it bothered Andrés to the core. Still, he was the main henchman, and the only one he called on. There were questions to be answered and Andrés would get to the bottom of it, but in the meantime, he needed to handle Fallon, put her in her damn place.

He called Dread’s phone and exhaled. It took a second, but he finally answered.

“Boss?”

“Fallon is on one,” Andrés mumbled, ignoring the trepidation in Dread’s voice.

“What… are you talking about?”

“She’s trying to retaliate because of what happened the other night,” he explained. “Rose just called. Apparently, she went over to Cain’s trap house with that blue-eyed motherfucker Click and his dog and cut his ear off.”

“Wait… What do you mean she cut it off? All of it?”

“The entire fucking thing.”

There was a moment of silence, which was suddenly interrupted by the sound of Dread snorting into the phone.

“It’s not funny, cabrón,” Andrés chided him, jaw ticking. “Fallon is losing her goddamn mind! She thinks I’m some weak fuck-boy she can toy around with!”

“No, you’re right,” Dread quickly agreed. “It just took me by surprise, that’s all.”

“Rose also mentioned Mulatto,” Andrés added. “I thought you handled that…”

Andrés waited to see how Dread would catch onto what he’d just said.

“I… did,” Dread stuttered. “I saw him drop with my own eyes… Unless it was the wrong guy…”

“Since when do you get the wrong guy, Negro?” Andrés pressed him.

“Shit happens, Rey,” was Dread’s tight response. “But don’t worry. I’ll handle it.”

“Do that, or I’ll be forced to handle it myself,” Andrés growled.

Silence.

“What about Fallon?” Dread asked.

“Don’t worry about her,” Andrés snapped. “You just worry about finding that British asshole and his boyfriend and putting a dagger in their chests. I ain’t letting Fallon get away with this. Find out what she’s dealing with. I don’t care what it is. I want my shit back plus whatever shit she’s got!”

“On it,” Dread confirmed.

Andrés heard the words but wasn’t sure he believed them.
