These testimonies show that there was a certain degree of coordination between students and workers in 1977, but these links were not well developed. As previously highlighted, when the leftist students were leading the student movement in 1972, connections were developed with the labor movement, but no direct networking occurred as it had done in 1946 (and as would happen in 2011). Even though the protests were crushed by the regime, nonetheless the 1977 mobilization would be the final dress rehearsal for the events that would unfold in the same place, decades later.
