Tilly

One thing Tilly never imagined would happen to her is being trapped back in time by a Lucas again. Yet here she was, on another adventure against her will with Jenny. Although, they did have a bit more help and this time it wasn’t her that had been kidnapped. Now they were inside a Pyramid, on the advice of a Pharaoh and a magical Priest, with no idea how to find the Scarab which might just get them home. It was all a little surreal. She almost wanted to be like James and pretend it was all a dream. That none of this was real and she would wake up back in her own bed.

Even Tilly knew better than to wish for things that couldn’t happen. Their first test in the Pyramid was a maze. The door closed behind them and two entrances opened up. Hieroglyphs covered the walls and Charlotte was certain they told the way to the treasure room.

“Are you absolutely sure?” asked Jenny, her face was scrunched up. Her friend obviously wasn’t sure on Charlotte’s knowledge.

“Yes, I’m sure. Harvey, back me up on this.”

“Don’t look at me, I don’t read Egyptian. German, yes, but not Egyptian,” he said holding his hands up.

“You read German?” asked Tilly. She cocked her head to the side and smiled.

“There’s a lot of things I tend to keep to myself, but yes I speak and read German.”

Tilly didn’t know if she was shocked or impressed. Her first meeting of Harvey had been strange, mainly because it wasn’t actually him, but he always managed to surprise her. She was also glad that she was no longer attracted to him. I suppose if Noah hadn’t of chosen his face I’d feel differently.

“Well, I am positive, you guys have seen The Mummy Returns, haven't you?”

“Charlotte!” exclaimed Jenny. “Please tell me you aren’t basing our direction from something you saw in a movie?!”

“Oh, keep your hair on, I am trying to lighten the mood. I can read Egyptian,” she said with a giggle. “It’s this way.” Charlotte said some other words that Tilly didn’t understand and so she just blindly followed her inside the depths of the Pyramid.

The walls of the Pyramid were painted with delicate art and precision. The black and gold complimenting each other and a dash of colour depending what the images were depicting. Tilly couldn't help but be captivated by them. History was a part of who she was, even if she didn’t make it into The Collective. Her eyes took in all the different images, and her ears vaguely heard Charlotte’s directions.

"T, you okay?" asked Jenny as they came to the entrance of a room.

"Huh? Oh yeah," she replied, tearing herself from the walls decorations. "I'm a history nerd Jen, this," she touched the walls, "is all so fascinating to me."

"Yeah, I can see that," smiled Jenny.

"Woah," said Tilly as she looked behind her friend. The room that they had just entered was a long corridor, full of art work and treasures.
