7. Glue and screw or nail the front to the bottom, recessing the bottom ¼″ (0.6 cm). Glue and screw or nail the sides to the bottom and front. The sides should be flush with the front and extend ¼″ beyond the bottom.
8. The beveled edges of the roof should create a tight fit along the ridge. Glue and screw or nail one side of the roof to the sides, front, and back. The roof should be flush with the back; the overhang should be along the sides and front. The second section should be screwed only so that it can be easily detached for inspections and for cleaning out the nest cavity.
