Tin cans can become feeders. Construct a wooden base to keep the feeding can stationary.
If you tend to accumulate stale doughnuts, make a doughnut feeder for squirrels — it may help lure them away from your bird feeders. These feeders are constructed much like the suet feeder (see page 22), but with a hole diameter of 4½ inches (11.4 cm). Push a doughnut into the hole and then push sunflower seeds into the doughnut. Hang within reach of squirrels.
