Tainted

Love.

The journey back to London wasn’t as bad as she had expected. Norri had woken up in the morning in great form. Even to the point that Fergal was surprised with his recovery.

Norri had explained that he was lucky he got his Epipen so quickly thanks to their actions; he had made a swift recovery. He was only glad that he hadn’t had all of the dessert and had just focused on the champagne. Throughout the journey, Norri gave the odd moany whimper, while Rizzo fussed over him. Fergal watched him for the whole journey home after they had dropped Rizzo off at the office.

Once back in their apartment, Norri declared he was going for a lie down; the journey had taken its toll. Fergal didn’t bat an eye-lid it was a tiresome journey. He looked at his watch and decided he had enough time to take a shower before he went back to the office. Rizzo was in a series of meetings and wouldn’t be free until after five pm.

As he walked past Norri’s bedroom door, Fergal laughed to himself, he was half expecting to hear the sounds of Norri’s snoring. It was legendary to say the least and he should know, he had shared tents with some of the world’s best snorers who didn’t have a patch on Norri. He was surprised to hear Norri was up and talking; he was speaking in a low tones enough that Fergal had to strain his ears to hear what he was saying.

By the end of Norri’s call, Fergal knew he was right to trust his gut. He hadn’t heard everything, but enough to know there was something that Norri was hiding...
