I hear this from aspiring entrepreneurs all the time. “I don't want to be in sales, I'm an idea person!”

Great. Take your ideas down to the city park, sit on a park bench and talk to yourself about your wonderful ideas. You won't have to sell anything. You won't have that awkward feeling of asking customers for their business.

Just sit on that park bench and be an idea person. Get comfortable. Because if you won't sell your ideas for actual money, that park bench will become your bed.

Ideas are fantastic. I have lots of them. Every day. I write them down and put many of them into action. But ideas need to be turned into products that alleviate customer pain points. Then the idea that turned into a product needs to be sold.
