Now hem the bottom the same way and zigzag stitch along the diagonal sides. Once done, press the diagonal sides down about an inch to the wrong side and edge stitch them down.

Time to attach the pocket. Press the top of the pocket down ½ inch twice towards the wrong side to hem and edge stitch the fold down. Then zigzag stitch along the three other sides of the fabric. Press the right and left sides towards the wrong side. Press the bottom edge up a half inch to the wrong side.

To form small miters, tuck the extra fabric of the corners inside the pressed folds. Then press the pocket flat. Now pin the bottom, right and left sides of the pocket to the main apron panel, about 2 ½ inches below the point where diagonal sides start. Ensure it’s 4½ inches from both sides and that it’s straight and centered.
