DOMENIC

13th May 2017

There had to be a reason Sophie was experiencing these premonitions more regularly and that Maggie Mae had appeared to her. Sophie had intimated it was because I had entered her life, but I’m positive that there’s more to it. I sent a telepathic message to Luc. He answered right away.

I need to discuss something with you. Sophie’s been having premonitions and she’s concerned they’re happening more often now she’s met me.

I think it’s more likely to be connected to Maggie Mae.

I agree. It seems more logical that there’s a connection between Sophie, me and Maggie Mae.

What would you like me to do?

Can you talk to Maggie Mae and ask her?

Bring Sophie to the house and we can try.

Thank you.

Don’t thank me yet. She might not want to comply.

We packed up the car, tidied the kitchen and patio, and returned the pool equipment to the garage. The snake incident had made its mark on our day, and everyone was trying hard to return to the happy mood of the morning. Sophie had shared her concerns with Lisa and Andrew, and psychic phenomenon had been the topic of conversation on the trip back to the city.

“Do you mind if we stop off at my mother’s house on the way home? I think my godfather might be able to answer some questions and put Sophie’s mind at ease. He’s very knowledgeable about psychic matters.”

“I don’t mind,” Andrew replied.

“No problem,” Lisa said. “I can visit with Max.”

“Good I’ll text and let them know.”

“Do you really think Luc can help?” Sophie asked.

“Luc has amazing abilities. If anyone can help, he can.”

I sent a message to Luc.

We’re on the way to see Mom. Can you join us? I’ve persuaded Sophie to talk to you.

Yes, I think I can be there in about thirty minutes.

Perfect.

What did you tell her?

That you know a lot about psychic phenomenon.

Cameron had opened the gate in anticipation and was standing by the door of the Gatehouse. As we drove by, he saluted, and Sophie waved enthusiastically through the window. I noticed he smiled warmly at her. I think she’s won his heart, as well as mine. Aimee showed us into the living room where my mother was waiting with coffee and cakes.

“It’s lovely to see you again Sophie. And you brought new friends Domenic, how wonderful. And so fortunate that Aimee had made lemon tarts and almond slices today. She probably planned on delivering some to you, since she knows they’re your favorite.”

“Mom this is Andrew Campbell. Andrew’s an audiologist at the hospital.” Andrew shook her hand.

“My Goodness. Did you walk into something, or did someone give you that black eye?”

“No. Let’s say I tried to help when I should’ve stayed out of it.”

“Sounds mysterious.”

And this is Lisa Russo, Sophie’s housemate, and also a nurse at the hospital.”

“So lovely to meet you Mrs Ericson. You have a beautiful house. It’s so big,” Lisa said.

“Thank you. Make yourselves comfortable. Who would like coffee?” Aimee appeared on cue, poured the coffee, and handed out coffee and cakes to everyone.
