To me, a true brownie is somewhere between cake and fudge and never too far in one direction. When rifling through recipes, finding just the right brownie can be extremely tricky. Luckily, you needn’t search any further. This is the brownie recipe to end them all. As much as I’d love to take credit for its invention, I’m afraid the true credit belongs to Alice Medrich. I came across her recipe and, with a few slight alterations and a peppermint insect twist, I can gladly say these are the best brownies I’ve ever had in my life. Chewy, a bit gooey, and great!

For most people, bugs and desserts rarely go hand in hand, but in this instance, I think they do so adorably. Give them a try, and even if you only make the brownies, I promise that you and anyone within a fifteen-mile radius who smells them will be extremely pleased.
