“Where’s Aric?” I asked, coming out of the bathroom. We were about to head to class today.

The Reaper took a few days off to rest after dying. My mom ordered it because he kept thinking he could just move on.

The queen was big on coping properly. I got why after she finally told my sisters and me what she had been through in her early years. Her childhood became everything she didn’t want for her own daughters.

“I don’t know,” Rhys shrugged. He laid on the bed with one arm over his face. Lately, he’d been spending a lot of time in the garage. Not to avoid me, but to keep that peace within him. The part that needed to be isolated for a bit.

I understood that. A person had to regroup, even from lovers. Well, maybe not Gabe. After living most of his earthly life as an outcast, he craved to be near us. I understood that too.

Though, when I needed time to myself, I found him with the familiars. I still remember waking up to a boob paused on the TV after my trip to the Veil. When I looked at my Angel, he quickly pointed at Meeko in accusation.

Apparently, they were arguing over who had the best sized chest. Of course, they were. Boys would never get over the fascination boobs had. God, my life became a spiraling whirlwind, but I loved it. I also couldn’t wait for my sisters to meet the three men who accepted my soul.

Well, Aric was still coming around to it. He was honored to be mine, but he struggled with the privacy invasion. My mom gave him a dampener that blocked the mind communication.

I gave him his space because we had to learn to do this on a level everyone was comfortable with. He still slept away from us, but I caught him eyeing the bed on more than one occasion in envy. I think part of him didn’t feel like he belonged.

I’d change that. Well, I’d give him my views on him being my general. Only he could choose to accept it. Praying, I just hoped he would. I invited him to lay with us every night. One day, he wouldn’t decline.

“I think we should just skip today again. I’m so tired,” Rhys yawned. We all had been. Between Aric becoming mine, us trying to make a potion, and school, we wore ourselves out.

Though, something told me that might not be the cause of our exhaustion. Crawling into the bed, I let Rhys and Nico place me in their center.

Gabe came out of the bathroom then—he went in when I came out. His smirk said it all as he got behind Rhys on the giant bed. The shifter just rolled his eyes with a faint grin.

“Big Dipper,” Rhys faulted Gabe. Looking down, I saw Gabe’s hand down Rhys’s pants already. I laughed. These two were getting very friendly lately. Gabe sent me a snippet two days ago of them after class together.
