"Shit, shit, shit!"

Fitch jumped out of bed and immediately groaned. He gripped his ass and I raised a brow at him. We'd spent the past few days together, always at my place now. I thought having someone in my private space would bother me, but I found having Fitch around made me a lot less lonely.

"Why are you shouting this early in the morning?"

"I forgot!" Fitch ran into the bathroom and the shower started. When he ran back out, he began to dig around in the drawer that he'd taken over. "This is my volunteer day. I usually don't stay over with you when I have to go in the morning because someone gets a little too enthusiastic and then I just want to sleep in the next day."

"You say that like it's a bad thing." I sipped the steaming mug of coffee in my hand. "How late are you?"

Fitch checked his phone. "Late! And Morris isn't exactly the sweet type." He ran into the bathroom, his clothes in his arms. "I have to go home first and grab the chessboard again, so I'm leaving right after my shower!" he called.

I sat my mug down and walked into the bathroom. He was already in the shower, water running down his body when I stepped in with him. When I wrapped my arms around him he groaned.

"Please, Daddy. Not now." He grabbed the shower gel. "I really hate being this late."

"I know, that's why I'm making you calm down." I left a kiss on the back of his neck. "I'm going to drive you to Sinai Grace, you'll get to talk to Morris, and I'll bring the chessboard to you. Okay?"

"Are you sure?" Fitch turned around and frowned. "You don't have to do all of that for me. You already missed your morning run."

"I can miss it every once in a while for you, baby." I leaned down and kissed him. Fitch stopped fighting and freaking out finally. When I pulled back, I caressed his cheek. "Let's get you cleaned up and I'll get you over there."

"Thank you." Fitch sighed. "One day I'll be able to afford a car. I love my bike and all, but it doesn't really help when I'm super late."

"How much do you have saved up?"

"Well, Aaron's job is pretty great so he's taking care of most of the rent and bills at our place. I was able to save six hundred, but that's not going to get me anything but a piece of shit, honestly. A few more months and maybe I can scrape up fifteen hundred and find something at least part way decent."

I frowned. "Partway decent? A car that cheap isn't going to last you long. You'll have to make a lot of repairs and tune ups on it."

"I know." Fitch sighed softly. "But that's all I have. I can't change that." He dunked his head under the water effectively ending our conversation.

When he came up for air, we moved on to getting dressed and out of the door.
