How is Data Science Done?

With it using the word “science” in its name, data science can be vaguely defined as the scientific approach to extracting knowledge or insight from data. Like in the scientific approach, it all starts with observation.

In this case, the act of observation is the analysis of data, through automated or manual means, to bring about patterns. There is also formulating a hypothesis by verifying the observed patterns as valid and not just a coincidence of data. Lastly, there is also testing by verifying the created model on a given data.
