Trays and tongs - The ones used for printing should absolutely be bought new. There’s no telling what chemicals were previously soaked in a secondhand tray, and risking contaminating prints just isn’t worth it with the expense of paper. The same is true for tongs, if you prefer them to using your fingers. Just a side note: if you also do any sort of alternative process work, you’ll need separate trays and tongs. Silver should never be used in the same tray as another chemical, unless thoroughly scrubbed first. However, it’s just best to keep them separate.
