Tearing his thoughts away, Rafael focused on his beautiful companion as the next course arrived. Picking up his salad fork, he watched the realization dawn on Mia’s face as she noted the empty spot in front of her. When her eyes flashed to his after dashing to the utensils still lying on the floor between their chairs, Rafael nodded once in confirmation.

Deliberately turning to ask Eric a question, he allowed Mia to make her own decision. When her head dipped toward her plate to grasp a lettuce leaf between her white teeth, he rejoiced internally. “Conrad, I’m sorry. I only caught the name of that company as you spoke. I was recently approached by Travis Consulting. What can you tell me about them?” he asked, leaning slightly forward with interest.

“Beware, my friend. Travis Consulting is a new player that is making the rounds in the real estate world. While all appears aboveboard, there is nothing but rot under the polished presence,” Conrad Elbert shared.

The petite redhead at his right sat perfectly trained with her eyes on her plate. Conrad was one of their senior members. his hair was now perfectly silver while a few strands of matching hue had been allowed to infiltrate Stephanie’s vivid natural color.
