It was time to step things up a little with Dani. She was more comfortable doing things that she considered “a little bad,” but it was time for more. I had a plan and I hoped I was able to convince her to do it.

I had been in Shady Oaks for over a month and was getting pressure from DW to hurry everything up. But I knew if I pushed her too hard too fast, it would send her running straight to that angel and it would be over for me. I shuddered at the thought of the punishment I would get if I failed this mission.

I knew the key to making this work was the necklace she was wearing. DW hadn’t told me exactly what it was, but I could feel the evil it contained. That was probably why he wanted it. I was surprised that Ari hadn’t found a way for her to take it off yet, unless he wasn’t able to sense what it was. I could only hope that was true.

I grabbed what I needed and headed over to Dani’s. If she agreed, this was going to be a fun night.
