Cookie Makeup Party

NO-BAKE • MAKES 36 COSMETICS

You'll blush when your friends tell you how great these cookie compacts make you look. The foundation is store-bought chocolate cookies adorned with colorful candies. Add fruit chews and bubble gum, and you'll be sitting pretty.

Chocolate chews, soft caramels, or fruit chews (whichever is called for in each makeup project)

1 cup dark cocoa candy melting wafers (Wilton)

Line two cookie sheets with waxed paper. Microwave the chews or caramels for no more than 3 seconds to soften. Roll out on a work surface to a ⅛-inch thickness. Transfer to the cookie sheets.

Place the dark cocoa candy melting wafers in a ziplock bag (do not seal the bag). Microwave for 10 seconds to soften. Massage the wafers in the bag, return to the microwave, and repeat the process until the candy is smooth, about 50 seconds. Press out the excess air and seal the bag. When ready to start assembling the makeup, snip a small (⅛-inch) corner from the bag with the melted candy and follow the instructions for each project.
