Despite Litecoin’s adoption of SegWit, it likely will not meaningfully increase the value and popularity of it, nor will it offer much change with regard to its opportunistic nature. There would need to be a fundamental shift in popular understandings of its value for a desirable stability to be had.

Ethereum

Ethereum is in a relatively low period of risk. Security vulnerabilities are still an existing concern since the 2016 cyber attack, but with enthusiastic adoption and utilization of its blockchain technology by numerous corporations, it stands in a strong position to be a valuable long-term investment. The violation of immutability by Ethereum creators by implementing a hard fork following the cyber attack has also been a quam of blockchain ideologues, but this is not a reasonable source of concern for investors in the new Ethereum however, considering Ethereum Classic is valued at some eleven times less its successor, about $15 to Ethereum’s $165.
