All sorts of silverware are useful for Parisian style. Here a drawer is filled with cutlery that has been collected over the years from auctions and markets.

In this modish dining room, inspired by frequent visits to Paris and an interest in haute couture, the imaginative color scheme is topped off by a wonderfully irreverent set of pictures. The colors are centered around the warm, Scandinavian Pink used on the walls. Dusky Melon is used inside the cupboard and picked up in the paintings, while the rest of the room is finished in neutral blacks, grays, and off-white. The table has been painted, distressed and waxed with Graphite Black on top and Paris Grey over the pink on the legs. Overhead, two candles in hanging glass lanterns give a lovely central light, perfect for dining.
